the south, diva delight
experienced a night of divas in
atlanta. they seem to be bringin' it on the real
just as i was about to escape to the north. a
sista and i peeped out lisa shaw
doing a live p.a. for the naked tour stop in atlanta
at club eleven50 in midtown. seductive vocalistics
from miss shaw with the pimp of picture-perfect
house himself, mr. miguel migs who
invitingly coerced the turntables.

kimberly of 'being resourceful publications' introduced
me to miss gaelle, the sleepy-eyed
voice behind numerous wamdue project cuts ('king
of my castle' and 'cascades of colour') and
currently getting nekked on her 'rain'
song. both gaelle and chris bran of wamdue are darlings of atlanta
dance scene hipsters.
later on that night, we popped over to
another joint, crescent room, to hear the clean
funkiness of n'dea davenport of brand new heavies fame and now doing her own
thing.
